Welcome to Preston Community Library

Friends of Preston Library formed in 2011, with a mission to stop the closure of our local library – one of six which were being closed by Brent. In 2015 we reopened as a community-run library, staffed by volunteers and funded almost entirely by donations. In 2019 we were shortlisted and ‘highly commended’ in The Bookseller magazine’s Library of the Year Awards.

From April 2026, we are opening on Fridays too, and extending all of our opening hours to the following times:

Monday: 2:30pm – 5:30pm
Wednesday: 2:30pm – 5:30pm
Friday: 2.30pm – 5.30pm
Saturday 11:00am – 5:00pm
